I went to White Water for the first time yesterday with my best friend
We had a blast. Though I gotta say, the Tornado was terrifying!! It's a ride where you and at least one other person sit in a 4-person inter-tube. You go down a short tube to a funnel-like section where pressured jets push you up the sides. We went so far up the sides that I thought we were going to flip over! Later, I was chatting with a girl while waiting in line for another ride, and she said some people have flipped over on it! That's one ride I won't be going on again. The other rides were fun though. We went on the Little Hooch twice. That's a little river-like ride that goes around the Activity Pool and Wave Pool. There are about 5 places to get in and out along it. The first time we got out after swimming about a third of the way through. When we went back later, we floated on tubes for the entire circuit. It was nice. The Wave Pool was cool too. The middle of the pool is only 3 feet deep and slopes up to nothing. After the passing the middle, it slopes down quickly to 8 feet. They turn the waves on for 15 minutes, then leave them off for another 15. If you're standing up, the waves aren't a big deal, but if you're crouching even a little, they keep knocking you over. I was in about half a foot of water, and I couldn't stand up because each wave hit me and knocked me off balance before I could get up. I ended up crawling out because of it. By the time I made it, I was exhausted. Luckily, that was the last thing we did and the park was closing then anyway. To sum it all up, I had a lot of fun.
