The Kitsune and the Neko It was a cool breezy morning in Konoha Village. A beautiful sunrise could be seen as a figure stepped out onto a balcony. Leaning against the railing, the young man ran his fingers through his short, spiky blond hair, as blue eyes gazed sleepily at the village. From the balcony, all of Konoha could be seen.
The blond turned slightly, resting on his arm. He ran his hand through his hair again, fingers brushing against the large, red-furred fox ears on top of his head. A long red fox tail trailed down his leg, twitching slightly. Three whisker marks on each cheek curved up as he yawned.
Hearing footsteps, the 23-year-old kitsun
Fullmetal Alchemist ch.4 Ed sighed in frustration. He had just been informed that his train to Risenbol would be delayed for 2 hours. Another annoyance in a very annoying day. He had just finished an assignment that was nothing but a boring pain in the butt, it had been raining since yesterday, and now his train was late. It had been the longest day in his life, and he just wanted to get home to his wife and son.
He glanced out the station window. The rain had finally stopped. Edward decided to take a walk around to un-cramp his legs and kill some time. The town he was in was fairly small, but picturesque. The streets were a little muddy, alright a lot mud

2 Lonely Souls chapter 2 Gaara searched the entire village, looking for the little boy. Night fell and there was no sign of him. Gaara felt disappointed. He was about to give up, when he spotted a pair of small brown eyes peering at him from an alley. He smiled slightly and walked over.
Hey there, he said. Ive been looking for you.
The boy from the day before blinked up at Gaara. His small round face was bruised and he was covered in dirt. His clothes were ragged and filthy, barely more than rags.
I wanted to make sure you werent hurt, Gaara said as he knelt. You ran off so fast yesterday. A
2 Lonely Souls Right this way Lord Kazekage. The meeting room is just down the hall.
The 20-year-old red-haired leader of Suna, the Village Hidden in the Sand, sighed under his breath as he followed an aide to the leader of the Village Hidden in the Branches. The tiny Branch Village for forming an alliance with the larger Suna. And Gaara, Sunas Kazekage, was meeting with the leaders of the Branch Village and surrounding lands to cement the deal.
Gaara huffed quietly to himself as he entered the council room. He hated attending meetings. He found the
HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do. Our job was to simply be, and let the RNA scribble down the letters on our foreheads when they came around every once in a while. Helio was a G, I was a C. It wasn't exactly fulfilling, I suppose. There wasn't much to be filled. So to pass the time, we talked.
"You ever wonder?" Helio asked.
"About...well...what's out there." Helio and I were rooted to the stairs, quite happily, but it was awkward to move in. He kind of twisted in the general direction of the closest pore. "Out in the cytoplasm."
"I haven't," I admitted. "What's there to wonder about?"
"That's exactly the thing. I have no idea." Helio sighed, gazing into the distance. "Somehow it feels like we play this huge, huge role in something important, but how can we when we don't even know what that something is? I want to be something that, that has
